Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2025

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to this website and the Verify service operated by CyberInsurance.com, LLC ("CyberInsurance," "we," "us," or "our"). This is the site where you pay for and complete real human verification (email + SMS + optional ID), get a shareable verified profile link, and use an account to manage your profile and re-verification. Your use is also governed by our Terms of Service. This policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use this site and the Verify service.

By using this website or the Verify service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use this site or the Services.

2. Information This Site Collects

We collect information you give us on this site and some information that is collected automatically when you use it.

Information you provide

  • Account: When you create an account we collect your email and a password (we store only a hashed version of the password). If you add profile details (e.g. name) or a phone number in your account, we store those as needed to provide the service.
  • Verification flow: During the Verify flow we send one-time codes to your email and phone; we use your email and phone number only to deliver those codes and to complete verification. For the optional government ID step we use a third-party provider (Vouched); they collect and process your ID. We receive verification results and limited identifiers to link your profile to a verified identity — we do not store full ID documents on our systems.
  • Payment: Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number; we receive payment status and transaction identifiers so we can complete your verification and provide your profile.
  • Contact form: If you use the contact form on this site we collect the name, email, and message you submit so we can respond.

Information collected automatically

  • Cookies: We use cookies (e.g. for login session and site operation). You can set your browser to refuse or alert you to cookies; some features may not work without them.
  • Usage and logs: We may collect pages visited, timing, and similar usage data, and technical data such as IP address and browser type in server logs, to operate and improve this site.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected on this site to:

  • Run the Verify service: send email and SMS codes, process the optional ID check with Vouched, create your verified profile, and provide your shareable verification link.
  • Create and manage your account, authenticate you when you log in, and let you edit your profile and re-run verification.
  • Process payment via Stripe and prevent fraud.
  • Respond to contact form submissions and support requests.
  • Send service-related messages (e.g. verification codes, confirmations, security-related notices).
  • Operate and improve this website, analyze usage, and comply with legal obligations.

4. Third-Party Services Used by This Site

This site and the Verify service rely on:

  • Vouched: For the optional government ID verification step. They collect and process your ID per their privacy policy; we receive verification results and limited identifiers to link to your profile.
  • Stripe: For checkout and payment. Your card details are handled by Stripe; we receive payment status and do not store full card numbers.
  • Hosting and infrastructure: This site and its data are hosted by providers that process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements.

These providers have their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information to third parties for marketing.

5. Data Retention and Security

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Verify service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Verification and payment records may be retained for legal and operational reasons after you close your account.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data (e.g. encryption in transit, access controls). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct or update inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your information, subject to legal and operational requirements.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Data portability (e.g., a copy of your data in a portable format).

You can update your account and contact information in your account settings on this site. For other requests or questions about your data, contact us at verify@cyberinsurance.com or via the contact page.

7. Children

This site and the Verify service are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. In line with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, we do not target anyone under 13 and do not knowingly collect or maintain information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of this site or the Verify service after changes means you accept the revised policy. For material changes we may give additional notice (e.g. by email or a notice on this site).
